I <3 you Gyoza King (and Subeez)

One of my favourite places to eat is Gyoza King on Robson, it’s a Japanese restaurant that doesn’t serve sushi which is perfect for someone (me) who enjoys Japanese food but not sushi.

I went here a week or so ago with some pals and this fella behind the bar kept us hydrated and partially fed and I think we kept him laughing, I can only imagine what he though of us and the conversations going on. 

On the bar/counter we have Round 1 of 2: beef short ribs, some kind of mushroom scallop dish (which was AMAZING), gyozas, edamame, and some other stuff which was gone by the time I remembered to take a photo.

And side 1 of the menu. I completely forgot about picture taking. Just like the photo below from when I went to Subeez on Thanksgiving and by the time I remembered all that was left was a bit of the pitcher of sangria. Although there isn’t a photo of it, Subeez does have a great veggie burger.
